Winery tours

“For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land… a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey” (Deuteronomy 8).

Vineyards have been growing here since the dawn of humanity.
We know that according to the Bible and archeology – a large number of winepresses, dating to different periods in history, were found in Israel. Nowadays, the wine industry is constantly growing and wineries can be found everywhere, offering  a great selection of wine, with Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah grapes being the finest and best suited to Israeli climate.
There are hundreds of wineries: some are very large and produce millions of bottles a year, others are medium-sized and produce tens of thousands of bottles, and the remaining are boutique wineries that produce hundreds to thousands of bottles a year.
Among those wineries, there are many famous ones known for their high-quality wine and received awards and medals throughout the years in international wine competitions.

At Hoshen, we take our guests to our personal choice of wineries.
For us, wine is not just about the taste, but also about the story of the place, the people and their hospitality. 

In almost every tour, we get to visit one of the wineries, usually in the Golan Heights or Judean Foothills, but also along the Mediterranean coast and – believe it or not – in the Negev Desert.
